Sympathy for Minorities Simply because they are Minorities

The Australian society is one that is very liberal. In being liberal, it is one that places a strong emphasis on empowering minority groups. However, many people forget that majority groups can become victims at the hands of those in the minority groups. The flipside of this is that, minority groups become empowered by virtue of their status as a "marginalised", "victimised" and "disadvantaged" minority. Minorities can escape blame for violence, abuse or insults directed against dominant groups. Dominants groups cannot. I am not for a moment saying that it is a game of dominant  v minority, but the modern Australian media and the progressive radical left have made this the case.

The sympathy shown to minorities simply because they are minorities is based on the erroneous, naive assumption that minorities can do no harm. Minorities can do much harm, and in fact, more harm that dominant groups. Take this example. Many people assume that women cannot commit violence. That is not true at all. Statistics show that women are equally likely to commit violence. Feminists may (naturally) criticise this statement as one that is based on social expectations and roles of women. However, the truth is that no one should be acting violently towards any person in the first place. This has nothing to do with gender roles whatsoever. Laws have been put in place to protect women, but not men from domestic violence and custody disputes. Women in Australia have been able to escape blame in broken down child custody disputes. Men cannot simply because they are expected to be loyal to their wives, whereas women who leave their husbands are assumed to be suffering at the hands of their husbands.

Sympathy for minorities simply because they are minorities is evil. It is discrimination that is worse than that perpetrated by dominant groups because it allows people to escape blame. The progressives say this is "equality". The truth is that it is anything but equality.

Human rights are Relative

What is regarded as a legitimate right or not a legitimate right is relative in this world. This is the standard of the world - rights are relative. Most accept rights to be how they themselves see it and not accordingly to a set of universal objective standards. This accounts for the increasing tension between different groups over rights are people entitled to.

Human rights are rights according to how humans see their rights and therefore, are typically focused on self-interest rather than caring or understanding others. This is the core of most of the 21st century campaigns. Many 21st century human rights activists point the finger at groups which insist that rights are derived from objective and universal moral standards for being against human rights. The term 'human rights' is the perhaps the most spoken about, and most emotionally charged issue in the modern world.

The West has criticised non-Western nations like China and Russia for lack of human rights defined according to Western values. It had criticised China for taking away the rights of the people to vote and Russia for its laws regarding homosexual propaganda. It has criticised India for female genital mutilation and the Middle East for restricting the way women dress. However, just like how one can criticise others for disrespecting human rights according to one's own standards, others can do the same in return. What is perceived as a right is based on the cultural and religious values one has. Rights are no simple issues.

It seems that the West, in criticising other countries for not respecting human rights can be in turn be seen to be guilty for some of its practices. Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries may criticise the West for its usury and sexual ethics from their perspectives. However, they don't because they do not see how their culture is superior over others.

The Root of All Conflict

The issue of what rights should trump that of others has been the root of conflict over history. In our increasing self-entitled, narcissistic and materialist world, one can be forgiven for thinking that the conflict of rights is an exclusive modern day challenge. The truth is that we only seek our rights before respecting or even acknowledging that of others.

A right is an entitlement that others must respect. A right may be positive, meaning that others must do something for another, such as the right to free contraceptives that are to be funded by the government. On the other hand, a right may be negative, one in which others must not interfere another's liberty. One such example is the right to not be subject to human sacrifice.

Her Inner Beauty

All the men in town admired her for her kindness, goodness, humility and wisdom. Though she was admired, she was not popular for doing what she did. She did not tell people what they wanted to hear, but what they needed to know. That was why she was not popular.

Those who were liked for only their external beauty and who seduced others for pleasure hated her. They felt that their popularity was threatened by her for her own doing. She would not succumb to the pressure to engage in such activities that others would give her. As she did not want to become one of them, she was felt by those people to undermine their power over others. She was their worst nightmare.

Her admirers paid no attention to how she looked out on the outside for they could see her inner beauty. Though she is not the type who would spend hours trying to improve her looks, she was noticed by all and feared by all. She was loved for who she was, and not what she was.

The Light on the Hill

She was young and tender. Though she never made herself the centre of attention, she was known by everyone around her. She was not the type who sort to make herself popular, or who involved herself in the affairs of others, but she was the most noticeable person. If nothing else, no one, whether friends or enemies, could forget her.

There was something striking about her. When others bullied, she would provide emotional and social support for the victim. When others only cared about themselves, she would care for those who were doing it tough. When people were lonely, she would open her arms to them. When people were sick, she would support them  and their family through their illness.

Though she was of good repute, she did not think of herself as someone of such repute. For she knew that anyone could do these things, but what motivated her to care for others was love. She loved others regardless of their background or their past. She was the light on the hill.

Political Correctness: A Pretext for Some Being More Equal than Others

Political correctness is used as a tool by some groups to silence others from expressing their views about certain sensitive issues. Some are not allowed to express their views because their views are different from others, that is of course, the political correctness police. Only those who impose the rule of political correctness are allowed to because they are "marginalised". They claim to be marginalised, but they are dominant. They are wolves dressed in sheep's clothing. Anyone who follows them are the sheep who are mislead by the sinister and devious agenda of the political correctness police.

As a result of the sensitivity of issues imposed by political correctness, the left and right, the secular and religion, heterosexual and homosexual, male and female have become more polarised than ever. Anyone who is one of either the right (conservative), religious, heterosexual or male is no longer free to express one's views. Instead, any on these categories of people who express their views is deemed as 'dangerous' or 'cannot be trusted' because their views are invalid.

Academics, journalists, professionals and politicians who impose political correctness and enforce it are the most hypocritical bunch. They claim political correctness must be imposed to maintain freedom of belief and freedom of speech, but do not support it when it is against them. They only support it to use it against others.

Shame on anyone who dares makes this a devious or manipulative statement.

What has Political Correctness done to us?

No longer can be say that we do not support feminism gay rights without being labelled a 'dinosaur' or backwards. No longer can we express openly support for  policies that bar refugees from seeking asylum or detain them without rebuke. No longer can we say that we do not like prominent gays or prominent Australian (read: western) women. If we said that we did not like a prominent man or prominent person of an ethnic minority, there would be no public outcry whatsoever. But if it was an Australian  woman, or a gay, there would be an outcry and an investigation of the character of the person who dared to make such a claim.

If a heterosexual man or a person of an ethic minority made a claim that was "discriminatory" in the eyes of the political correctness police. Any heterosexual man or person of an ethnic minority called out discrimination against themselves, it would be shot down and criticised.  If it was one of the PC police officers making a claim which discriminated against the groups it deems not to exists i.e. heterosexual men or a person of an ethic minority, then it would be perfectly legitimate no matter what it was.

The Must-Have Book for Every Person living in Modern Australia

The Guide to Use Words in the Postmodern World

Many words that we now are forced to use are because certain groups demand so, simply because it makes them feel 'included', that is, the same with other people, or normal.

Partner - refers to spouses now as well. This is because marriage is only a legal or commercial matter where people get married for the money or other material benefits, a general term needs to be used for all types of couples who live together whether cohabiting or not

Gay - used instead of 'homosexual' because its does not identify someone in terms of their sexuality or behavior. It is a term demanded by homosexual groups because it makes them feel included by the society rather than known by their sexual orientation

Female - replaces the word woman. This is because it does not contain 'man' in the word. At a particular university I know, the sign which indicates where the 'women's rooms' are is written 'wom*n's rooms' as though 'men' is a dirty word that cannot be used.

Mentally/physically challenged  - although this term has not been really heard of in the media , it is reasonable to say that it may become a politically correct term because the term 'disabled' according to prominent disability activist, Stella Young, suggests that disabled people are less capable of achieving the same things as others. However, the term 'challenged' suggests a similar meaning

Classic example of no-political correctness

The following set of quotes is the class example of honest non-political correct speech. It does not cower to "respect" the views of the majority or minority. See if you can guess who said it.

I am the Labor Party's Worst Nightmare. I am a White, Conservative, Tax-Paying, God fearing Australian. I am a hard working Australian and I work long hours to earn a living.

I believe in God and the freedom of religion, but I don't push it on others. I drive Australian-made cars, and I believe in Australian products and buy them whenever I can.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and not some bloody governmental functionary, Labor/Greens or Liberal, that wants to share it with others who don't work!

I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!

I think owning a home doesn't make you a capitalist; it makes you a smart Australian. I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything. Get over it!
I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac or any other item, you should do it in English. I believe there should be no other language option.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are, fellow Australians like Don Bradman, Steve Waugh, Alan Langer, Slim Dusty, Fred Hollows and the Aussie scientists who invented the bionic ear – missed a few I know.
I don't hate the rich, but hate the way they always find ways to pay less taxes. I don't pity the poor, I hate the way they are always crying that they are hard done by!!

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time watching or arguing about it.

I believe if you don't like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country!

This is AUSTRALIA....We like it the way it is and more so the way it was...so stop trying to change it to look like some other socialist country! If you were born or legally migrated here and don't like it... you are free to move to any Socialist country that will have you. (And take Julie Gillard and her group with you.) I believe it is time to really clean house, starting with the Lodge, the seat of our biggest problems.

I want to know exactly, where the "Do Gooder's" get their money from, and why are they always part of the problem and not the solution?
Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I also think the cops have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what race, colour or creed you are, but not just because you happen to be an illegal alien and scream that they are "RACISTS PIGS". And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my driver's license. I think it's good....

I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making 'donations' to their cause....Get a job and do your part to support yourself and your family!

I believe that it doesn't take all the intellectuals to raise a child, it takes two parents....

I believe 'illegal' is illegal no matter what the lawyers think!

I believe the Australian flag should be the only ones allowed to be flown in Australia !

If this makes me a BAD Australian, then yes, I'm a BAD Australian.
We want our country back!
My Country.....

I hope this offends all illegal liens.

My great, great, great grandfather watched as his friends died in the Boer War. My grandfather watched and bled as his friends died in World Wars 1&2. My grandfather watched as his friends & brothers died in the Depression of 32. My father watched as his friends died in Korea. I watched as my friends died in Vietnam, East Timor & Desert Storm. Our son's and daughters watched & bled as their friends died in Afghanistan and Iraq. None of them died for the Afghanistan and Iraq Flag. Every Australian died for the Australian flag.

At a Victorian high school foreign students raised a Middle East flag on a school flag pole. Australian students took it down. Guess who was expelled...the students who took it down.

West Australian high school students were sent home, because they wore T-shirts with the Australian flag printed on them.

Enough is enough.

This message needs to be viewed by every Australian; and every Australian needs to stand up for Australia. We've bent over to appease the Aussie-haters long enough. I'm taking a stand.

I'm standing up because of the hundreds of thousands who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the Australian flag.

And shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message.

AUSTRALIANS, stop giving away Your RIGHTS !

THIS IS OUR COUNTRY !

This statement DOES NOT mean I'm against immigration !

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE, IN MY COUNTRY, welcome to come legally:

1. Get a sponsor !
2. Learn the LANGUAGE, as immigrants have in the past!
3. Live by OUR rules ! Dress as we Australians Do
4. Get a job !
5. Pay YOUR Taxes !
6. No Social Security until you have earned it and Paid for it !
7. NOW find a place to lay your head !

We've gone so far the other way...bent over backwards not to offend anyone.

Only AUSTRALIANS seem to care when Australian Citizens are being offended !

WAKE UP AUSTRALIA ! ! !

Made in AUSTRALIA & DAMN PROUD OF IT!!!!!"
AMEN.

The Spiral of Silence

Political correctness forces people into expressing things in a way that is subjectively believed by a certain group to be correct, and hence, forcing people to view things the same way the group imposing political correctness. It is a form a psychological control, and a particularly deadly one. People are forced to uncritically accept the views of others because the group imposing political correctness will punish those who do not. The punishment is criticism and social embarrassment.

Very few people are willing to face such social embarrassment and simply accept the views of the majority regardless of what it is. These days in Australia, not only are people who dare proclaim the truth laughed at, but are accused as evil, arrogant and moralistic. People who dare stand up for the truth in the face of strong opposition need to be silenced in the eyes of the (degenerate) majority because they are speaking things that people do not want to hear. Minorities that actively campaign against the truth use political correctness as a tool to shun the truth-speakers by calling them out as evil to shame them.

However, many are unable to see how perverse many modern values are because we live in a postmodern world where it is believed that there are no truths. That is why some political and ideological groups are able to force their views onto the majority who have no clear sense of direction.

Political Correctness's Guise of Respect and Tolerance

Political correctness (PC)is the idea that people should not express ideas or beliefs about another group because it may offend members of that group. It may seem to be basic respect or tolerance, but political correctness is not based on respect or tolerance at all. To respect another is to treat the person with the same dignity was one would treat one self or one's group. One does not need to agree with the practices of other to be respectful towards that person. Similarly, one does not need to agree or follow another to tolerate the person.

Political correctness places the onus on the person expressing his or her views about another group to defend one's own beliefs, rather than allowing the person to be free to choice what one wants to believe. This intolerance is the very essence of political correctness. People in the Australian society can no longer free express one's views about another group. Instead, anyone who dares does so needs to be questioned by people of that group and defend oneself.

Freedom of Speech Under Attack

Whether you believe it or not, freedom of speech is under attack in the West. Yes, the West which core values are equality and liberty for all human beings. My next few posts will explore how political correctness has eroded freedom of speech, allowed certain groups to suppress the ideologies or others, and polarised left-wing and right-wing politics more than ever.
