The Spiral of Silence

Political correctness forces people into expressing things in a way that is subjectively believed by a certain group to be correct, and hence, forcing people to view things the same way the group imposing political correctness. It is a form a psychological control, and a particularly deadly one. People are forced to uncritically accept the views of others because the group imposing political correctness will punish those who do not. The punishment is criticism and social embarrassment.

Very few people are willing to face such social embarrassment and simply accept the views of the majority regardless of what it is. These days in Australia, not only are people who dare proclaim the truth laughed at, but are accused as evil, arrogant and moralistic. People who dare stand up for the truth in the face of strong opposition need to be silenced in the eyes of the (degenerate) majority because they are speaking things that people do not want to hear. Minorities that actively campaign against the truth use political correctness as a tool to shun the truth-speakers by calling them out as evil to shame them.

However, many are unable to see how perverse many modern values are because we live in a postmodern world where it is believed that there are no truths. That is why some political and ideological groups are able to force their views onto the majority who have no clear sense of direction.
