Her Inner Beauty

All the men in town admired her for her kindness, goodness, humility and wisdom. Though she was admired, she was not popular for doing what she did. She did not tell people what they wanted to hear, but what they needed to know. That was why she was not popular.

Those who were liked for only their external beauty and who seduced others for pleasure hated her. They felt that their popularity was threatened by her for her own doing. She would not succumb to the pressure to engage in such activities that others would give her. As she did not want to become one of them, she was felt by those people to undermine their power over others. She was their worst nightmare.

Her admirers paid no attention to how she looked out on the outside for they could see her inner beauty. Though she is not the type who would spend hours trying to improve her looks, she was noticed by all and feared by all. She was loved for who she was, and not what she was.
